Following on from our recent blog about how to choose the right venue we thought we would share our thoughts on how an unusual venue can transform your event into a unique experience for all those attending or taking part.

While conference centres and hotel conference rooms can be an easy go-to option when organising an event, and in some cases are the best option, there are many events that would benefit from an unusual venue.

Here are our reasons on why we would recommend choosing an unusual venue to create a unique experience for your delegates:

  • Having a unique venue will make it memorable for your delegates and make it stand out in a busy calendar of events.
  • Using a venue that your business industry would not normally be aligned to will create a discussion point both within and outside your company and raise awareness of the event via social media, digital or traditional channels.
  • Increasing awareness for your event, because it is “different”, will increase the engagement and communication around it. This, in turn, will improve attendance as potential delegates will not want to lose out!
  • By encouraging delegates to talk about the event both before, during and after you will eliminate the need to chase for testimonials, just collate all the user tweets, comments and shares and of course other positive mentions.

So as you can see there are many advantages to choosing an unusual venue.

Other unusual venues include The Science Gallery, Museum of Brands, Warwick Castle to name a few.
